are ending up dealing with diabetes today. With a culture that
is less active and many parents feeding their kids fast food
and other unhealthy foods, children are more at risk than ever
before for developing this bad disease. While it used to be
that Type 1 diabetes was the one that affected children, today
there are more and more cases of younger children actually

problem. For this reason, parents need to know the symptoms of

parent, it's time that you find out more about these symptoms
and start watching for them in your children.
One of the first things that you need to be on the lookout
for in your children is frequent urination. If you happen to
notice that your child visits that bathroom frequently, then
you may need to have them checked out. Frequent urination is
one of the main symptoms of diabetes, since there is too much
sugar in the blood and in the urine as well. So, be sure that
you take note of how often your child is going to the
bathroom.
Of course along with that frequent urination, your child may
end up dealing with excessive thirst as well. This is one of
the most common symptoms of diabetes in children and it is
usually quite easy for your to pick up on. You see, since
children with diabetes that is untreated deal with frequent
urination, they tend to get dehydrated, this makes them get
very thirsty and you may notice that your children start
drinking like crazy, acting like they can never get enough to
drink. This should be a warning sign that there is a problem.
Excessive thirst is a problem that is easy to see, so make sure
you get your child checked out if you see this symptom in your
child.
Another symptom that you need to be aware of is lethargy or
extreme tiredness or fatigue. Usually this is not a problem
that children have; in fact, they usually have more energy than
their parents, but a child who is dealing with diabetes may
begin to get tired very easily and you may notice that after
just playing for a short time they end up stopping because they
are too tired to go on. Sometimes this can also lead to
irritability as well, which is something that you need to look
out for in your children too. Excessive hunger or even weight
loss may clue you in that your child is dealing with diabetes
as well. So, if you see this occurring, this is another sign
that you need to get your child to a doctor.
Diabetes can cause a variety of different problems, which is
why it is so important that you watch out for symptoms of
diabetes in children so you can get your child to a doctor
early if you notice that they are displaying some of the
symptoms. Be on your guard and keep a careful eye on your
children, especially since the cases of childhood diabetes are
currently on the rise. Of course you don't want to over react
to the problem either. All you need to do is get to a doctor
and they can do a simple blood test to find out if diabetes is
really the problem. While there is no cure for diabetes, there
are many great treatment options out there that can help,
especially when childhood diabetes is caught early on. So, keep
an eye on your kids, look out for the symptoms of diabetes, and
if they show any, take them to their doctor as soon as
